Wren's Nest Commission for a Barrister; Private Collection (Not for Sale) Sally Hancox is a Barrister with a great interest in gothic art and themes, and in having been kind enough to read my book she commissioned me to complete a drawing for her.  Based around Wren's Nest, a suicidally dangerous race which is a vampire version of Russian Roulette played against the rising sun, which Skaler plays against Joseph in the novel. This is the largest Skaler drawing and took 10 days in December 2003 to complete, and stands as my most ambitious commission to date, being A3 in depth and A1 in length.  It was also the first exploration of Skaler's story away from the novel's illustrations.
