Newspaper Article: Film Star's Daughter Compliments 'A Shock to the System' 30th July 2008 Following the launch of Glenn's two short stories on Newsblaze and The Student Operated Press, Journalist James Connell penned a lead article for The Worcester Evening News. Focusing in particular on the kind remarks of Sara Karloff (daughter of Boris Karloff), about 'A Shock to the System' which is Glenn's tribute to Karloff and Whale. It equally went into some depth about 'According To Bill', the first Skaler short story. A comprehensive article which can also be found online, which takes the Great Frankenstein Legends daughter's remarks as the lead in for the story, and gives a lot of information about both stories and their background. |

Skaler Short Story: According to Bill 23rd/24th June 2008 We are proud to announce that the very first Skaler short story written by Glenn has been published on Newsblaze & The Student Operated Press. This story was written following his completion of his novel about the vampire and today makes its first published appearance on the internet. 'According to Bill' is an edgy and atmospheric mood piece, where Bill (the barman of a small Blue's Club) starts to realise that the gifted young musician who sits in the corner is far more than it would first appear. The story may seem familiar to those who attended the launch of Speakeasy Live-Mic writer's society in 2006. As it was performed live by the author and received a sensational reception. |

Article: Have You Got Any Books on Dyslexia? 20th June 2008 As a Dyslexic Artist and Writer, diagnosed in 2002, Glenn explores his experiences in this thoughtful article published on Newsblaze & The Student Operated Press. The frustrations of this condition for a driven writer are examined from the artist's own perspective, as he worked through the circumstances of realising that there is support available. The article was approached with a combination of rueful humour and bittersweet memory, in the hope that it may help others who are wrestling with the condition. |

Short Fiction: A Shock To The System 18th June 2008 Glenn's first short story published by Newsblaze & The Student Operated Press, A Shock to the System is a tribute to Boris Karloff and Universal's Frankenstein. An affectionately dark tale, it looks into exactly how the good Baron isolated the forces which reanimate dead tissue, and what kind of part a vampire played in the process. Penned in the mid-90's when Glenn was a student initially writing Skaler, this blackly delightful story appears publically for the first time in written form. |

Book Review: The Historian 18th June 2008 Glenn's review of Elizabeth Kosovo's 2005 novel published on Newsblaze & The Student Operated Press. An adventure which examines the life (and Vampiric immortality) of Vlad the Impaler, told through the eyes of students of history across three historical periods, in the journalistic style of Bram Stoker. Glenn's review of this excellent book, looks into the comparisons drawn (in some quarters) with The Da Vinci Code, and considers the dark name applied to Vlad by the forces of history. |
