The Wolverhampton Community Magazine Programme BBC Radio WM gave Wolverhampton an hour a week for a live magazine programme, and we did our utmost best to put out the strongest programme a team of volunteers could assemble for the city, every Friday night. The team spirit was absolutely wonderful, and we drank more tea than the Royal Artillery, but the format of the programme really taught you about broadcasting. Each week the crew rotated positions, so everyone had a chance to do something different. I was involved with the show from 1994 to 2001, rising myself to work for WCR and manage the Studio for BBC Radio WM. It was a wonderful, stimulating experience, and it still goes out every Sunday night. |
