Caricature Work (Past and Present) As an art student Glenn was very interested in caricatures. He was particularly keen on the great Regency artists Cruickshank and Gilray, and also Ronald Searle, Gerald Scarfe, the 80's genius of Luck and Flaw (Spitting Image), and the Theatrical caricaturist Leo Hershfield. He retains an appreciative eye for a good caricature to this day. (He also loves Charles Addams) Glenn started out experimenting with caricature work himself professionally, but largely moved away from it when inspiration struck for his Gothic Skaler work. Whilst on the Midlands Court Circuit as a Courtroom Reporter, however, he often undertook caricature commissions for Barristers, and he retains a great professional interest. He is available for commissions and illustrations in the caricature style. |
